Initial DWI Consultation

image description

Learn how your initial DWI lawyer consultation will proceed.

Selecting a DWI Lawyer is no different than looking for a doctor. Your primary interest is that they are good at what they do. A close second is how comfortable you are with them. You will be discussing intimate details of your life with your attorney. Your ability to be candid without being uncomfortable is necessary.

Mr. Simpson and Mr. Gold, your San Antonio DWI lawyers, will both attend your initial DWI consultation. The purpose of this meeting is for you to meet both lawyers and hear their perspective on your case.

Be sure to bring all of the documents that you were given on the day of your arrest. These documents provide the information needed to begin the defense of your case. The arresting agency should have given you the DIC-24 and DIC-25 (your statutory warnings and temporary license). You should have also received information about the court your case was assigned to and the date you are to appear.

Be prepared to discuss every detail of the day of your arrest. Small details may develop into decisive issues in your case. Be thinking about: what you ate and drank, how much sleep you had, physical or mental issues you were experiencing, type of shoes, medication taken, condition of your vehicle and so on. Communicating every detail to your San Antonio DWI lawyer is essential to preparing a solid defense.
